Our Core Values
An Authentic Community. We value authentic relationships based on honesty, trust, transparency and grace. Our desire is to provide a safe environment where people can receive support and help through an accepting and loving community.
A Reaching Community. We value the people in our neighborhood. We desire to reach out and share the love of Jesus and all that He has to offer.
A Worshipping Community. Worship is a way to live. We encourage people to meet and experience our Lord and Savior.
A Growing Community. We value personal spiritual growth. God designed us to be continually growing through prayer, Bible study and fellowship.
Our Historical Heritage
The Greenwood Christian Church is an independent Christian church that shares a rich heritage with nearly 6000 other congregations in the United States known as the "Christian Churches / Churches of Christ." This group of churches originated from a movement begun in the early 19th Century that became known as the Stone-Campbell Reformation (or the American Restoration Movement). The leaders of this movement, primarily Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone, sought to unify Christians under the authoritativeness of the Bible so that the world could be won to Christ (see John 17:21).
Our Mission
Love God. Love others. Serve the world.
